Step 1: Connect the SD Card

Insert the SD card into a card reader, then plug the card reader into your computer’s USB port.

Step 2: Locate the SD Card

• Open “This PC”
• Find your SD card under “Devices and drives”

Step 3: Start Formatting

• Right-click on the SD card
• Select “Format”

Step 4: Choose File System

• Set File System to FAT32
• Leave other settings as default

Step 5: Format the Card

• Click “Start”
• Wait until the process is complete

⚠️ If FAT32 Is Not Available

If your SD card is larger than 32GB, Windows may not show FAT32 as an option.

In this case, you can use a third-party tool to format your SD card.

Step 1: Connect the SD Card

Insert the SD card into a card reader and connect it to your Mac.

Step 2: Open Disk Utility

• Go to Applications → Utilities → Disk Utility

Step 3: Select the SD Card

• Choose your SD card from the left panel

Step 4: Erase and Format

• Click “Erase”
• Set:
  Format: MS-DOS (FAT)
  Scheme: Master Boot Record (MBR)

Step 5: Confirm

• Click “Erase” and wait for completion
